My art is influenced by Japanese and Native American art and culture, and comes from my own spiritual core. My favorite elements for collage are text in different languages, fragments from sacred works of art, Japanese origami and handmade papers, leaves, and bark. I also create my own marbled and handmade papers. Working with these small fragments of paper – with color, pattern, texture, words and intricate scenes - I create larger images that embody the richness of each element. For me, these collages reflect my personal theology that all things are connected; everything is a reflection of Spirit.

8-Week Performance Class with Interdisciplinary Artist, Rachel Rosenthal
The work in the 8–Week Class is both improvisational and structured. We divide time between exercises, processes and improvised theatre, and pieces brought in by the participants as solos, collaboratory duets and group works, conceived outside of class and performed for feedback and development. Students are taught techniques for composing pieces, and are expected to take turns performing, as well as making sets, designing lights, and providing vocal or musical complement to the theatrical event. Voice, text, and language are explored, as well as various styles of performance, both traditional and post-modern. Students use the class to try out ideas and concepts that are shown in a public performance at ESPACE DBD at the end of the 8–Week cycle. (1995)
DbD (Doing by Doing) Performance Art Workshop with Rachel Rosenthal
Description of topics covered: "Doing by Doing" is the underlying philosophy of the workshop, providing participants with a thorough hands-on experience covering all aspects of theatrical performance (body, voice, sound, music, movement, lights, sets and costumes), approached through exercises, processes and improvisations of solos, duets and group work. What is played out in the workshop is the eternal dance between the "I" and the "Other", the negotiations of power, the intermingling of passive and active, the focusing and diffusion of attention, the dialogue between "who I am" and, as Rachel puts it, the "givens" of existence.
