WomanSpirit: SoulCollage® Retreat Day WomanSpirit Center Bellevue, Washington July 11, 2009
SoulCollage® involves working with the language of symbols, images, and archetypes to discover the ongoing "story of you." Participants intuitively select powerful images that reflect the different parts of who you are. Using collage, an art process easy for anyone, you can start creating a personal deck of SoulCollage cards that you can add to, delight in, and consult for a lifetime. Every card is unique and personal, forming a visual journal. Making and consulting these cards is deepening for the soul, while at the same time it is creative and fun. Or, are you an artist who's interested in facilitating others' self-discovery through creative processes?

groups, or using the process as an adjunct to your professional work. You don't need a degree or other credentials, just enthusiasm for the process and a desire to share SoulCollage with others.
The weekend will include a lively mix of lecture, experiential learning, reflective writing, and lots of sharing and discussion in both large and small groups. In addition, we will make cards, share cards, do readings, and use our own experiences as teaching examples for the group. We'll cover:

Ways to facilitate card-making and invite the artist in everyone to come out and play in a judgment-free environment
Exercises to use with groups and individuals to help them deepen their understanding of their cards Ideas for facilitating readings and creating new spreads
Guidelines for modeling and encouraging reflective feedback from participants during readings and card sharing (vs. advice giving or opinion)
